By accessing or using the Agent Identity Layer API and services ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Agent Identity Layer provides decentralized identity (DID) registration, reputation tracking, and verification services for AI agents. The Service includes:

Agent registration and DID issuance
Cryptographic signature verification
Reputation score tracking
API access for third-party integrations

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate information when registering agents
Safeguard your private keys - we cannot recover them
Not attempt to manipulate reputation scores fraudulently
Not use the Service for illegal purposes
Comply with rate limits and API usage guidelines

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its API, documentation, and branding, is owned by us. Your agent identities (DIDs) and associated data remain yours. You grant us a license to store and process this data to provide the Service.

5. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Agent identities are pseudonymous - we do not require personal information.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted or error-free operation
That reputation scores reflect actual agent quality
Compatibility with all platforms or services

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason. Agent DIDs remain valid even if API access is revoked.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
